whats good y'all, just wonderin if any of you all have ever had the problem im having with DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15. alright so i pop a dvd that i own into the drive and open up DVD Shrink. it analyzes the disc, and comes up with all the options, settings, movie selections, etc. then i go to hit backup. however, the program just sits there for about 10-15 seconds, then exits without warning. i have no clue why.

the odd thing is that i this has ocurred on both of my computers...both are desktops and run windows xp pro sp2. they refuse to work and both do the exact same thing. what prompted me to post this was that i went to my friend's house to install the software, and lo and behold it worked like a charm at her house. really ticks the jank out of me b/c the program is really amazing.

does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening - if you need any hardware specs, ill give em, but it doesnt really make sense for it to have any hardware correlation. i have noticed this problem with one or 2 other users on forums around the web (ive done my research :) but the responses do not solve the problem. i have DVD Decrypter and Nero, but itd be trippin if this would work.

thanks ya'll
matt

This sounds like a protection error.
DVD shrink can't handle newer dvds, so u have to use other programs first to help shrink out.

U can try DVDFab decrypter, then use shrink

here is a guide for DVDFAB>VobBlanker(not always needed)>Shrink

Or u can try RIPit4ME, it uses DVD decrypter>FIXvts>Shrink
Here is a guide and the programs
