After using this site for the last couple of years on a daily basis I am finally making my first of many posts to come.
I wonder if anyone else had a ps3 preorder on Ebay and had it pulled and there account suspended.

So they suspended your account? What kind of pre-order were you trying to sell?

I've seen about 6 on ebay and average are going for 7-800 and it's still not over so we will see how high it gets. The most expensive one was for 1900 and that's buy it now so that's got me thinking if I should sell mine.

I know I'm selling mine. I'm thinking about scanning my receipt and putting it up on ebay right now, but I'll wait too. I definately don't want my account suspended. They are easily hitting over $1,000 right now if you go check.

PS3 ain't even out yet So I don't know why people are "already selling" their machines and scanning receipts. Its no wonder why these people get caught.

Ebay is just pulling out ps3 auction if your trying to sell a ps3 that you don't have in hand. If you do have a ps3 to sell then there is no reason they should take off the auction.

for those of you who are interested in selling a ps3 on ebay, read here
Quote: Ebay has set up strict rules for people wishing to sell PS3's using their service. These rules include a photocopy of the seller's driver's license, a copy of a credit card statement, and proof of ownership of the console.
people should be able to list their ps3 by tomorrow without any suspensions granted people follow w/e rules ebay has. i'd suggest looking into this for those planning on selling their ps3, or even email ebay customer service and see what they have to say

eBay, the world's largest online auction, has squelched PS3 sales for the time being, laying down strict regulations for any user wishing to post the next-gen system in the forth coming weeks.
eBay squashes PS3 auctions for now and lays down strict rules for when the bidding begins
eBay squashes PS3 auctions for now and lays down strict rules for when the bidding begins
Almost immediately as posted, many PlayStation 3 auctions were shut down by eBay shortly after PS3 presales sold out nationwide. Auctions for the Nintendo Wii, which went preorder status days after the PS3, are being permitted for the time being. But why the double standard? Many eBay users have responded, sounding off in the eBay forums and filing letters of complaint about the situation and strict regulations surrounding the PS3 preordered auctions.
In order to post a PS3 for sale, sellers need to provide eBay with a copy of their drivers license or other ID, copy of a credit card statement or utility bill with their current address, an invoice or receipt showing "purchase or possession" of the consoles, and written acknowledgement of agreement with eBay's policies.
Although eBay does allow "presale" items to be auctioned, the seller must be in possession and able to ship the item within 30 days. PayPal, an e-commerce business commonly used by eBay members to transfer money between clients, has even stricter requirements, forbidding the sale of any item that cannot be shipped within 20 days of the purchase date.
The PS3 is scheduled to release on November 17th in the U.S.; and with a lowly 400,000 units allocated to the States at launch, gamers looking for a PS3 on eBay can expect prices to be in the mid $2,000 range.
