DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
Programing Error - exception occured
I have the newest version of AnyDVD and having it running in the background when I use DVD Shrink. I keep getting this after 1% of trying to copy Inside Man (I've tried 4 times). Any help? Thanks!

Do you get the guy in the shorts? I hate that guy....
If you have the latest version, I don't know why you can't copy it unless it's a bad pressing. I've had it a few times where I can't copy some movies, but have restarted and did it again and had that clear the problem up.

airnjay2:
Are you using the latest version of AnyDVD? It's currently at version 6.0.8.0...
You can try another way, prior to using DVD Shrink...Run AnyDVD, right-click on th little fox icon and choose Rip Video-DVD to Harddisk... (this will use the AnyDVD Ripper function). A little dialog box will appear...Choose where the disc is located, where you want to save it, check/uncheck whether you want to remove unreferenced materials (I usually enable it), etc...click on "Copy DVD"
After it is done ripping, use DVD Shrink as usual...
Post back if this works/doesn't work...

I actually ended up doing it a different way. I looked on another thread and there is something you can do to make it still framed (or something like that). It passes the stupid guy in shorts and copies the movie. Just watched it last night and it works great

It depends on who you ask...
I personally like AnyDVD because it's updated often and has other useful features...
- But it's not free
DVDFab Decrypter is also good, updated and it's free.
If you want to save money, then DVDFab is your best way to back-up your dvds. If I run into problems with AnyDVD, I'll use DVDFab...

aliens2,
Sounds like you have a copy of 2 movies that are badly scratched and that is why AnyDVD could not rip it properly as both of those movies are really easy to do. DVDFab Decrypter can be updated at the site below:
