AFTER BACK READING,I SURE HAD TO POST THIS.. ;)
I HOPE YE CAN TAKE THIS AS A JOKE..THEN IF NOT PLAY WITH YE BLOCKS
Playing with blocks helps with language, study finds
October 1, 2007 01:54:58 PM PST
Playing with blocks helps young children gain language skills, a small study concluded on Monday.
After six months, language scores among half of 175 children aged 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 who were sent plastic blocks were 15 percent higher than a matched group that did not receive the free blocks, according to the study by researchers at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Parents were given ideas about how to help their children play with the blocks, then kept diaries of their children's activities over four days. Finally, all the parents filled out questionnaires that assessed their child's vocabulary, grammar, and other language abilities.
Study author Dimitri Christakis, writing in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, said unstructured play with blocks stimulates thinking, memory and physical mastery of objects at a time when a child's brain is growing rapidly.
"They are the precursors of thought and language," he wrote of the skills learned from manipulating blocks. "Older children begin to make up stories or scripts for these objects ..."
Such play may also substitute for less stimulating activities such as watching television, he said, adding parents ought to be skeptical of some toy-makers' claims.
"An increasing number of media-based products are making unsubstantiated claims that they can make children smarter, more literate, and more musical," Christakis wrote.
The study was funded by Mega Bloks, owned by Montreal-based toy maker MEGA Brands Inc.

Man this thread is turning me into an old woman. I finally decided to get some nice looking shoes, since well you guys know what happened. Tomorrow I'ma have to ask some girls on what they like guys to wear lol. After all they are the ones that matter! So this is what they look like, pretty cool and not too expensive.

The boots look pretty cool, although they are 200 bucks. I guess I will have to pay up, but I might have to save up a bit. Kinda don't have lots of money left after buying the watch, and I didn't even pay for most of that!

Man is this what i have to look forward to if i
LIVE to get as old as you guys???
segway to my bitch
im 38yo, dont smoke, never have, do drink a bit. i have my yearly checkups, 2 years ago in one of those checkup i found out im borderline diabetic. no big deal trying to watch what i eat and getting some exercise like im suposed to. go few months back for my yearly checkup they say i have a low testostorne level. i do some research and talking to the DR. i dont have any signs of a low level.took eye test, perfect, sex drive great, not tired, everything that should be wrong with me cause of the low level i am fine. so i did a MRI last week. got a tumor on my pituitary gland. now hows that for a crock of shit. going back to the DR next monday to see where i go from here....
Well, I ain't afraid of dyin', it's the thought of being dead
I want to go on being me once my eulogy's been read
Don't spread my ashes out to sea, don't lay me down to rest
You can put my mind at ease if you fill my last request
Prop me up beside the juke box if I die
Lord, I want to go to heaven, but I don't want to go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Just let my headstone be a neon sign
Just let it burn in memory of all of my good times
Fix me up with a mannequin, just remember, I like blondes
I'll be the life of the party, even when I'm dead and gone
Just make your next selection, and while you're still in line
You can pay your last respects one quarter at a time
Prop me up beside the juke box if I die
Lord, I want to go to heaven, but I don't want to go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
good day

Paul, hope it isn't a malignant tumor. Shit just happens, doesn't it? People smoke for 80 years and nothing happens to them and then this kinda thing happens to people like you.

Do you wear white socks with those? Something like the Ecco boots or a simple pair of Nikes. Depends on whether you want to portray the outdoors type or the athletic type. Your choice looks like the sole from an old Converse with a bad imitation Hushpuppy top. My best suggestion would be to return those shoes if possible. A watch is a nice item, but rarely a fashion statement unless it's too much. Besides, if you don't have a watch, you have an excuse for getting the girls home late. You gotta think about such things. Nowadays I use the time function on my phone instead of wearing a watch.
But back to the shoes. These you can play around with the guys, kick the football, shoot some hoop and such. Then just make sure they're crap free and you can take your girl to the movies in them. Don't wear stinky socks to the movie though. lol

Jeans and khakis get a lot of use. Khaki for the upscale casual look and jeans for everyday wear. 3 button pullovers are a no brainer. Solids are better than stripes. Earth tones are safest. No neon yellows and greens unless you have the style to pull it off (few can). Dull to medium red, green, and blue solids always look good with jeans. No silk or polyester that looks like silk. Take note of what the guys are wearing that have the girls hanging around.
That's some ideas on dress, but there's a lot to be said about how you interact with women. Some categories are nerd, the momma's boy, jock, gangsta, and bad boy. Where do you fit in? (Rhetorical question.)
