I downloaded a mpeg movie from kazaa and I can't find a way to burn it on my dvd+r burner. Is there a way to burn it with what I have on windows xp? And if not, what programs can I download in order to help me? Also when I finally burn this dvd will it be able to play on my dvd player

yes it's a zipped file I got it off of kazaa. I can't open it without winzip. should I get it elsewhere? yes I have a dvd+r. Will it play on my dvd player? Also there seems to be several types of nero out there what exactly do I need?

I started downloading TMPGEnc. dvd authoring, I think it might be different. Is it, or should I scrap it?

I'm already confused. i opened nero burning program and was able to drag the files I want over to it. i've made a file in the program with all of my video but I'm clueless on what to do next.
I'm not sure if I've even done this right.

Also I managed to get TMPGEnc. dvd author without needing winzip, so are you saying I will still need it down the line.

hi

ok lets take it slow here..

use winzip to extract the file from the winzip file you mentioned which holds the mpeg file

extract it to a folder somewhere you can find it!

then open dvd author and load the file into it! the mpeg! for video source and audio!

oh by the way do you have a program that plays the mpeg like powerDVD? try it for quality and sound! see if its a good file to work with ?

then in dvd arthur choose NO MENU on menu wizard button! and choose play all tracks!

then click output and click go button!

we will do Nero after post back to here when your done getting all your vobs(dvd files!)

first off I don't have winzip yet, do I need it?
I've already seemingly been able to access these mpeg files in the nero burning rom.
I can't access them through the dvd authoring program(though it does run without winzip).
I've got a Divx player 2.1 that seems to play pretty well(if not that i think windows media player that also works pretty well).
I'm sorry about the hastle, I don't know half as much as most these people about this stuff.

I should also clarify if I already haven't that my mpeg files are in my kazaa/my shared folder and part of the trouble I've had is that I can't seem to access them from any burning program. Windows media player, Divx, and I think Quicktime all play them but unfortunatly none of them can burn a dvd

hi

dont worry no problem at all! i have been where you are!

ok if you can look at the mpeg then you dont ned winzip? i thought you said the file was compressed with winzip?

ok, click o this file in media player and see if its what you want to see?

if it is then we can go forward on this!

as dvd author is the next program to use!

nero is last!

let me know if the mpeg is good and working?

DO YOU HAVE MSN messenger??

Also if possible and easy I want to edit these files (it's three different files making one movie and they overlap by seconds) not a big deal though.

The icons are labeled as mpeg but
the first one has an SVCD.TS-Centropy-CD1 at the end
and the other two just say CD2-centropy and CD3 Centropy
