I just wanted to ask summin,
see my process is,

1. Rip movie with DVD Decrypter
2. Compress movie & remove foreign audio
3. Burn with Nero

but a friend ask me a good question the other day, is it possible to rip while compressing with DVD Shrink, therefore cutting out the need for DVD Decrypter???

And would this have any effect on quality?

Thanks
Sem

Pioneer 104 with 140 firmware(can burn CD-RW 2x)
Rip and compress with DVD Shrink
Then burn with Nero...
takes about 1hr 30mins in total for any film.

Simple.

Wha!?

People are still unaware that DVD Shrink decrypts!?

Even IF, Big IF, there is a slight degradation of quality with the decrypt process in DVD Shrink you won't notice it unless you happen to be superman or something.

I've had a few problems with DVD Shrink doing the ripping.

So, to avoid this, I use SmartRipper, then DVDshrink. It takes a bit longer, but not had any problems since then.

What problems you getting. Are these happening on Discs that are scraped at all. It seems like a waste to be going through 2 processes, when you could get away with one.
