Paypal has a new policy that if you sold a playstation 3 then your account is automatically limited until you go thru a whole ordeal and fax all this info to paypal. You have to fax name, address, credit card statements, bank statements and provide proof of shipping for the playstation. So anyone who plans on selling a playstation on ebay just have the lookout that account will likely be limited. First ebays strict policy, now paypal. I'm all for fraud protection but this is just getting out of hand. Paypal is one of the most shadiest companies out there to begin with.
It just doesn't make sense. Ebay owns paypal but ebay and paypal have different policies when it comes to selling. Even though you meet all ebays requirements your paypal account will still be put on limited access. Which is gay. Ebay and Paypal should be on the same page. It seems like paypal has no idea about ebays policy nor due they care.
shadiest? It's one of the safest there are. The shadiest is definetly Western Union... anytime someone offers you to make a payment using that, you can tell them to go to hell pretty much 99.9% of the time.
Yah western union is the shadiest but I still don't trust Paypal. Next time you try to pay for something you won on ebay with paypal take notice that Paypal will automatically change your account to make you pay by checking account instead of credit card. They say you are protected but your are NOT. They change it every time on you even if your default payment is credit card so they don't have to pay any fees. They don't want to pay fees but they still charger the seller. One instance I paid by checking account since I was told i'm protected, never received my item, opened a case. Paypal ruled in my favor but unfortunately they said they were unable to give me my money back. I was like WTF wheres they whole protection they rant about. There are tons of sites on the web with disgusted users.
