I was wondering is it going to be possile to get a ps3 for NORMAL price by the end of this year? and how?

I highly doubt it. Sony said that they plan to ship 2 million by the end of the year. 400,000 for the US and Canada and 80,000 for Japan at launch. Between launch and the end of the year that leaves 1,520,000 units to be divide 3 ways. The only way I think would be to call around and find out when the next shipments will arive and get there early.

most likely stores that took preorders will honor and fill those orders before they start putting units on the shelves. i do not think they will have "normal" inventory until after the holiday frenzy, probably not until february would be my guess. the other thing to think about is, stores simply can't stock what they don't have. sony has had some production issues lowering the initial launch numbers not once but a couple times now. unless they get things rolling you could see empty shelves till atleast spring...
