It looks as if you will not have to take the new PS3 apart to change the HDD. Is that the way it looks to everyone eles.

LOL,the first thing gamers do when they buy this thing is open it up,lol!
can't wait for us release,so modders can start getting some idea on how to mod this baby.I'm hoping it's as easy as a modchip and ps3 games automaticly open full in a bluray reader on your pc,how much simpler could it get...

I guess you will backups your games from the blue ray to your pc. don't you think? then FTP back to your new HDD, or just backup them directly to your hdd, that's what i think.

I think its going to be much simpler than that , from a video I saw recently they said something about coping games on to the HDD which sony has recommend for games to load quicker so you can install games just like that with no mod, I could be wrong but we will find out soon.

Quote: Can the PlayStation 3 use any third party hard drive? Well, according to PlayStation 3's Safety and Support manual, yes (to an extent). The PlayStation 3 will accept any 2.5" Serial ATA hard disc drive, including products not licensed by Sony. However, Sony does state in the manual that although technically all 2.5? hard drives should work, "Proper operation is not guaranteed for all models.?
nothing really knew, but some nice reassurance i suppose.
IGN said they are currently testing different models to see what exactly will work and what may cause some problems
