well i was talking to my best friend that works at gamestop here in washington state and i found out some stupid things first gamestop employees get the $600.00 version of the ps3 for $400.00 us and they will all get there consoles on launch day gamestop decided to give 16 console reserves per store and would only allow 10 reserves to be reserved out to the public here in washington and the other 6 reserves go to there employees
now does anyone see red in this if we have to pay $600.00 for a console they should have to as well this sucks

thats just perks of the job m8 eg. staff discount and so on, im sure if u worked there and were gettin one that cheap then u wudnt be complaining.

what the hell is tha. i work at compusa and my friend at circuicity and they say employees cant eve buy ps3 except they stand in line

if you are going to give a employee discount you need to only take five dollers off not 200.00 off this sucks

I can't really see them knocking $200 off that hot of an item... I mean if a store has five employees that's 1,000 right there and as far as I know there is very little, if any, mark-up on the consoles themselves so the store is actually losing money.
Your friend just may be BSing you.
Wait until you see the sales slip.

on the west coast ebgames is only letting 2 employees have a ps3. they took 14 preorders plus the 2 empoyess. 16 all togeather. 2 days ago when they called me 2 let me know mine will be there on friday they said that they were only getting half off there preorders.

I second that because i just asked the manger here at the store in Charlotte he told me that they have to pay full price also.He said they get price cuts on software not hardware.

Exactly. They don't get discounts on concoles but they actually do on other stuff. Mini things, like used games, or memory cards, controllers, little things like that. My brother is a jerk. >.<
