I just went to Wal-Mart Super Center. And I walked in went to the electronic department. Asked if they had anymore in. And they said they had all of them. Like the very first shipment that came. I guess no one came to get them. Anyways theres more to this story. I was happy as hell. walked out got into my Dodge RAM. Looked at the recepit then the box and smiled I couldn't believe I got one. Then I looked up into my rear view mirror and saw these high school guys look at my truck and stare for a minute I got scared so I started up my truck. Started to drive away and the guy where following me with their car.I got on the 2 lane highway and kept my eye on that car. It was following me. I was nerves as hell sacred they where going to start shooting me. Hearing about the fighting that went on some where in the U.S. So I speed up the speed limit is 55 I'm doing 65 and pulling away from the car. They speed up, and by this time I'm scared they are definatly going to get me. I start to do 70, Going to 75, then 80. So i'm going 80 m.p.h and I have a V8 engine in my truck and then they are so far behind I get closer to my home town. they where still back there though. I could see them about half a mile away in my mirror. I am coming into town. and I take a left at my friends road that lives near the country. I pull in his drive way. and grab the ps3. took my key out of my truck and then. Ran up to the door. Knocked and my friend came to the door. We're both 16. And so I tell him the story I take it up to his room and we played it. me and him was kinda thinking that them guys were waiting some where. we got done playing it like 6:00 am today and I went home I was pulling down my road in the country. And this road is 6-8 miles away from my friends house. Becuase He lives in the city tothe north of me. And it takes like 11 mins to get to his house. Anyways I pull down this road and then. I see that same damn car. I get scared again. I get on my road and pull into my drive like shut off my lights and get on the floor and crawl over to the passenger seat and climb out the passenger door before they came into my drive way. I'm scared as *bleep* with my ps3 in hand. I run behind my house and run inside tell my 20 yr old bro.He gets pissed becuase he's a hardass and gets his sawed off shot gun. He walks out the door and fires the gun towards the car. On the ground. The guy thats where over by my truck now was running for their car. My brother aiming like 10 ft from where they're running. They're scared i'm laughing saying *bleep* you *bleepers* happy as hell. my brother comes inside off of our porch. And smiles and says they won't *bleep* with us again. And the guys left quick as hell. Anyways this was 5 hrs ago that this happend. Anyways I am happy I finally got a ps3. YES..LAterz gotta go play Splinter Cell Double Agent online. Ps2 version. LAterz if you wanna catch up with me my username is winnie-the-pooh. anyways laters. Glad to tell my crazy insane getting a ps3 story. LAterz

yeah the ps3 looks amazing but i am also from scotland so will have to wait. is that story true? because it sounds a bit more like a naff action film then a real life story lol if it is them im sort of glad that im not an american with a ps3 cos i wouldnt want to die for 1 lol

There were 3 people up in Seattle Washington that were shot and had there PS3 stolen from them. They are all ok, and the cops cought the guy. They haven't got their Ps3s back yet because the cops will keep them until the trial because they are some sort of evidence.

Im in Seattle...havent herd that story yet cuz i havent watched the news in a while.
This story here seems kinda unreal man with the shotgun fire and stuff. Did any cops show up? Also its weird that Walmart had "all" the PS3 the day after launch. U are one luckypoo.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

in the u.s the only places that seem to have issues with ps3 consoles where washington dc no one here in washington state had a issues there are still hundreds of consoles on store shelves because wal mart here will not sell ps3's unless you purchase the 1,000 package and worse even most fred meyers around where i live have the consoles still in stock and it isn't because people don't want the console far from it it is because people do not want to pay 600.00 for a console when for 400.00 they can just purchase a dell computer and a whole bunch of games for 600.00 so it kinda sucks for sony here in washington
and the shootings people are just ^%$^%$^%$^%$^%$ crazy if you cannot afford the ps3 then dont buy one you do not need to shoot someone over a overpriced dvd player

Not so hard to believe, Frys in Lombard Illinois still had 4 systems as of 11/18/2006 . The only way Frys will sell is in a packsge deal for $ 1197 US dollars. I stood and listend to people try and buy just the system, and they were told package deal or nothing.

DId you hear that recentley a teenage kid got the PS3 and was sitting in the car and some nutcase pulled a gun at the window and told him to roll down the window and give it to him? Man shot while queuing to buy PlayStation 3

A man was shot in Putnam, Connecticut today by a pair of ski-mask wearing gunmen attempting to steal money from a queue of punters waiting in line to buy PlayStation 3 consoles, local police have revealed.
According to Lieutenant J Paul Vance, cited by the Associated Press, the would-be thieves threatened 15-20 people standing outside a Wal-Mart store at 3am local time. One man resisted and was subsequently shot. He was taken to hospital, but his condition is not known.
The gunmen - both believed to be teenagers, Vance said - fled the scene empty handed.
Sony's PS3 went on sale in the US at midnight. Since then there have been numerous reports of unruly behaviour among queuing Americans, and even several allegations that muggers stole recently acquired consoles.
AP also reports that four people standing outside a BestBuy in Lexington, Kentucky were injured by pellets fired by someone in car as they drove past.
