Hi there, i have been looking at those companys that give you a free PS3 and wondered if anyone has actually ever managed to get one off them.
basically you sign up to the site, and sign up to an offer (for like £10), then you get 13 other people to do thes same (following a refferal link you give them) and then they send you a PS3 (once they are out i guess)
Anyone ever complete one of these offers successfully or is it just a way of getting a load of extra spam in your inbox every week ?
Thanks
Sam

best advice is to shell out the cash for the system like most everyone else otherwise it would seem like your asking for trouble one way or another...

Seems like people can resist replying and giving a link and getting banned! this is like a honey trap post!
I'm guessing that it must be real, but is probably a lot of hassle to refer others as on forums its just spamming really and how else can you get other to sign up?
Will save up and get one..should be fully hacked by then....;)

samonwalk : these offers are mostly 3rd party companies who pay the main company for making that web ( the companys you sign up the offers are the one that pay the main website for that ps3 to supply)
alto sometimes frauds are sooo bad on creditcards numours of calls and sign ups that your better off buying one or mb 2 ps3s rather then mess with the " free crap " things oh and lets not forget emails spam literly closes your free hotmail/yahoo/gmail email adds.

when the free ipod thing first came out i knew plenty of inteligent people that bought it and tried it so i know from first hand experience that YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR FREE PS3 AT ALL EVER! some of the people i knew got as far as to have completed the required number of sign ups and everything, thats about when the offer company makes up some technicality then refuses to ever comunicate with you again unless you figure out how to fix this non-existant technicality you alegedly messed up. more often than not that doesnt happen though, when you complete your orders they just stop talking to you all together. i was smart enough to know that my ten referals could never equal a free ipod in the real world. even smart people aparently cant seem to grasp the concept of a scam sometimes.
the fact that these scams still exist just proves that there is a sucker born every minute.

What I dont understand is why does gamespot have a link on their site that says click here to get a free ps3. I clicked it and it said complete these offers first. Why does gamespot have a scam link on their site?
ps3 with 20gb hard drive
xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.
White and black 1.5 psp's
I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!
