We probly have more hope on copying the game's to the HD and a swap magic or something i just pray something comes out soon or its being worked on.

yeah, its defo. getting worked on.
i recon it will take a year to copy games to HDD then another year for swap magic ( will need a flip top though ) and then maybe a couple of months for a chip.
so overall - sony are winning right now ¦¬(

the fact that the XB 360, has just got a mod chip, and being out for a full year and all, it shouldn't tke long for a ps3 cip, but if sony were right about ps3 and blue-ray being nigh unhackable, then maybe a little longer, but some how it will be done.

Nah kingakt the PS3 and blu-rays will get chipped n hacked for sure.. I just wanted to know when, but it definitly will happen.

i hope i can get one soon , alto i dont recall anything of sony stating that its "unhackable " nor its blue ray???? nor i have heard any ppl wanting to hack it

never buy the first chips released they will not function long after as they are like proto types listen to my advice if a chip comes out in 2 months dont get it wait another year then everythign about the console will be known and the succes rate will be in in 90%'s its worth buying games for a year then breaking a 999.95au console and buying another one true??

wait ur saying that a modchip is needed for the ps3 to play games from different countrys? i thought the ps3 ws region 3 and tht you could load ps3 games (isos) JUST like you could on the psp?

well, the ps3 is region free, as the ps3 it self is not region locked, but i read some where that its mostly up to the developers, for example, take gears of war, its region free. but not all 360 games are region free.
so i mainly depends of the developers or publishers.
and the reason why is all to do with money at the end. they would get more dosh, from say UK where gears of war is £39.99 or special editon is near £50. thats near $100.

the iso's are never playable lol it hasnt been hacked thus the reason why the chip comes in places.... and yes the region the ps3 specifys is what it does and that psp iso thing again its cuz its modded

I agree man, the first chips for PSX and PS2 were crappy.. Now there's chips with just about 100% working ability with 'any' media.. As for PS3 it would be a waste to buy any chip the first year I think.. Wait it out save some money.
