sure shrink is good for just about anything but burning, you should not need to use to do anything with torrents unless they are img files. because they are torrents they have allready been shrank down, most torrent files are dvix,XviD,AVI,img, mpeg, and they are ziped or rar'ed, also shrink won't encode AVI or dvix to VOB, good luck happy burning have a nice day

When i download a torren and i use Nero to copy to disk why does it decode it first ? does it need decoding with you saying with it been a torrent it has already been done ? .
thanks .

Rampage ,
Most of the torrents are in a different format and they need to be converted to MPEG-2 DVD Compliant files to be able to be played on a standalone DVD Player. After d/l'ing the files you can Google " Convert ....( torrent extension of the d/l'd files) to .vob" and you should find a free program to do this if you do not like using Nero. The files that you d/l are only as good as the d/l so if there are any problems w/ the torrent files then it will cause you problems as you have already found out

Thanks for that, i might try the DVD Shrink for the decoding and use the Nero for the burning . Nero burns fine its just the decoding the sound gets replaced by a continual clicking noise .
thanks

Rampage shrink wil not encode AVI ordvix or XviD files! what shrink will do is encode files from a dvd, and shrink them to fit on a 4.7 dvd, so you will need to use a encoder for the AVI,dvix,XviD files, and if the file is to big after the encodeing is done you can use shrink to shrink the files to be burnt with Nero! do you get that? hope so good luck happy burning have a nice day

Rampage,
As rdmercer1 stated you have to "Convert" the files first before using Shrink. You can try Avi2DVD ( I think it is still free) as it will convert .avi files to DVD Compliant files. Then you can use Shrink on those files to compress if needed and then use Nero to burn the compilation.
