Hi. I hope anyone out there can help me with this. It has happened three times now. DVD Shrink will tell me that the dvd that I put into the dvd burner drive does not have enough space to copy the movie onto. I even tried using Nero SmartStart and it tells me the same thing. I thot that DVD Shrink would shrink the movie to fit onto any dvd I put into the drive. why does the program tell me that? any ideas? in the DVD Shrink program, it is set for "automatic", if that helps any. thanks, katt

hi. not sure, but open "edit", select "preferences", first open tab will show "target size"... select "custom" and enter "4400". also would be a good idea to use quality media such as taiyo yuden, verbatim, or sony made in japan. good luck.

Hello.

If surfgeo's suggestion doesn't solve the problem, the following may be in play.

Shrink uses an algorithm for estimating compression based on a sampling of the frames. Sometimes that doesn't work out as intended. Here are some possible solutions:

Use deep analysis.
Backup! what you have as an ISO file and then reshrink that file.
If you're shrinking more than just the main title, use the custom compression option and shrink the extras/menus even more than the automatic setting did.
