I was wondering about a couple things:

1) With the adapter to plug in PS2 memory cards, can you use PS1 ones, too? Does PS1 playback still work well on PS3?

2) Can you play PS2 online-enabled games online on PS3? Not necessarily on PSN, but can you play them, at all?

3) Does PSN sell premium content in the sense of maps and weapons like XBL? (You pay more to get what should have been included?)

4) How is Blu-ray playback? Is it hitched or does it play smooth like a normal player?

I can only answer question 4.

BluRay movie playback in my setup is very good (60Gig connected by HDMI to a Sony SXRD). The load time is fast from a cold start. The picture quality is excellent with details and colors coming out at you. The audio from the optical digital connection is also very good though I would have been happier if there was a 5.1 analog output. Playback is smooth as you say and I've had no glitches to report so far. I would also like to see someone come up with a good bluetooth remote for this baby.

3) Not yet, but I am sure it is only a matter of time. Right now the only things available on the ps store are game demos and buy-able full game downloads

2) yes you can play ps2 games online with the ps3.
1) u can use it 4 ps1 cards. have dont played any ps1 games on it so far.

Can I make a PS3 Network ID with out useing haveing a PS3? Can I use a PS2? I have a ID that a jerk at school is trying to steal form me!!!
