Ok i was wondering since the PS3 now is able to read burnt dvds, is it possible to copy one of my owned ps2 games and then be able to run it on the PS3 with out needing any additional programs.

Well, it probably will be able to read burned DVD Movies! but if its a game, it will require some sort of Mod, becuase there is something in the DVD \ BluRay ( ithink it is on Ps3) Disks, that when you load it into your console, it checks for that special thing, so unless you pay lots of money to get the game pressed or whatever, then your gonna need a modification, hope this helps.

(This is just an assumption, but it was like this for ps2, so i hope they improved on ps3)

the PS3 has already been hacked to run a Linux OS (read as a hackers operating system) and Sony was so kind as to equip it with Blue-Tooth so transferring of game rips to the internal harddrive are a breeze. originally the Blu-ray was considered as a 'cure all' for modders but the market now has quiet a few burners out there and Pioneer is scheduled to release the dual layer BDR-102 early 2007 so Sony had no choice but to implement some small mod preventive precautions, but they seam to be very similar to the PSP file structure so it's only a matter of time, and it's not looking like that's to far off.
