Hey i was wondering if someone has any info on downloading ps2 games from my HDD to the PS3's HDD. I have a modded ps2 with HD-Connect and i would like to tranfer some PS2 games from the HDD to the PS3'S HDD. If there's a method to this i would appreciate it if someone post a link or something on how to do this, appreciate any feedback, thanks.

thats an interesting I dea but its quite impossible for now at least they dont even have modchip for it only linux and hdd upgrade

Havn't tried this myself but why not transfer the game files from your PS2's HD to let's say an EXTERNAL HD. Since your PS2 is modded it's pretty easy. Just google it if you don't know 'that part'. Then connect that HD to your PC ur PC and transfer the files. Then connect that External HD to your PS2 and trasnfer the ISO to your PS3. Try it under the game saves tab.

Highly hypothetical but give it a shot. Actually, I will try out myself later in the day and let you know.

I think my question is the same, or close to this one, so I'll post it here.

If I make an ISO(or (blank) filetype) of a game, and put it on the PS3's hard drive, can I play it off the hard drive?

For example, if I make an ISO (or again, whatever filetype is required) of like Final Fantasy XI or whatever game, can I put it on the PS3, and can I then boot it up straight from the hard drive?

I'd just go ahead and try it, but I'm out of discs right now and don't have a jump drive handy. ._.
