ok I was playing motorstorm demo and mine locked up. I don't know if it was a glitch with the demo or the ps3. but it hasn't done it since then.

The Internet Broswer has made my ps3 freeze 2 times and while i was playing Tekken 5 the system has frozed because the game was new so it wasn't the game.

Well I had to resolve to probs a humming noise and bad picture. The humming noise was in the 2 l and r audio cords. Unplugged those and used dolby sounds fine now. The lines through picture unplugged cable wire from tv lines all gone. This is due to the ground wire. U can either break the ground peice off if u get this then put it in a surge protector. Or get a 3 to 2 prong adapter then plug that into a surge protector only if u cant resolve the probs i have by doing what i did if u even get them. Everything else fine.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

I forgot one other thing is when i have played gthd the colors seem to go out or invert. it is on occasion but when i turn off the tv and turn it back on it seems to fix it. not sure if it is a tv or ps3 issue or demo issue. i am using a hdmi on a hitachi 51 inch HDTV @ 1080i

Mine is perfectly fine when I played PS2 games, PS3 games, original DVD movies, backup DVD movies, Blu-ray movies, surf the net, etc.
Except when downloading demo, it's quite slow.

Demos take me a while too, probably because there such big files like around 800 mb. BTW I have comcast cable internet so my internet isn't slow.

I have been ripping all my cds to the 60gig hard drive at 320kbps and still have plenty of room. I did pick up a 500gig external to rip my dvds to. I tried using nere digital mp4 but the ps3 wouldn't play the file. Anyone know of the settings or a good program to use to rip dvds to ps3 format. I want at least DVD quality or to upconvert to 720 or 1080p. Cheers Mates
