hi everyone just want to know which ps3 version is the best cause i was gonna get a jap one and is there many differences between hk version jap and us?

That depends where you're from, if you're in the US, then defintely get the US version.

What is the standard movie format over there? NTSC? PAL? I know the PS3 is region free, but the DVDs and PS2 games arn't!

I am in NZ, area is PAL here too,I got a Ps3 NTSC/J unit 220/240v system 60gb,haven't tried PS2 games and as you say they are all PAL here, but there is software to convert PAL to NTSC so will try...unless the ISO dumps get figured out soon lol
