ive updated to the new version on my ps3 and borrowed a copy of msg3 snakeeater and it boots fine and then when i try to start a new game it goes right back to the original start screen. the new load options also do that. anyone else have those problems.
played god war res evil 4 black devil cry3 all work fine(although my HDTV hdmi doesnt look as good as my xbox games on my 360 does)

You can update your PS3 firmware but did you go to the PS store online and download that patch? you will see that it looks like a PS2 just click the link if you havn't did this already.

updated the patch from ps store but still cant start the game
i choose new game and it goes back to the first screen. ive chose every choice and they all do the same. has anyone played this game? or should i get the other mgs3 version the 2 disc newer version. im more interested in offline on this game

Are you pressing Circle on that game because X or any other buttion makes it go back a Screen.

you are a life saver. thankx. just got my ps3 never had a ps2 only xbox. borrowed and bought used games. love that damn god of war. game works perfectly
