just wanted to know how i can have te other players play online ..for ex: Resistance..i cant get the player 2 to play online with me...its not like xbox live where they sign in as guest...how can i get me and someone else to play online together on one system...

Where Resistance is concerned, you can only be online as one player, at a time. You can play through the Campaign co-operatively with a friend, on splitscreen, but this is only available offline. You can also play against a friend (up to four people at once) but again, this is only offline.
Again, if you are talking about online play, you can only play as one player at a time.
