In the recent Gamespot graphics comparison between 360 and PS3 the only game shots that I thought looked better were the fight Night ones. However when put side by side at the highest resolution the 360 comes out far better.

Never mind the source as they are just reporting the event.
I have seen alot of screenshots of PS3 games that look great but when played dont look so crash hot. Is it frame rate issues that would cause this?

Ps3 fight night round three has better graphics then xbox360 hands down. But that is because they had more time to work on fight night round 3 on the ps3 compared to the xbox 360. Wait a year and then it will show ps3 true capabilities. Remember that microsoft has a year head start with the 360.

People amaze me with "wait a year and see what Sony does" If thats the case why buy it NOW. It does not make since!! Also (because i am in the videogame industry) Do you really think 3rd party developers will wait a year??? Do you think they are loyal to Sony like you are? The answer is NOOO!!! 3rd party developers are loyal to making MONEY. With that said Sony is in trouble. Case in point- Virtua Fighter 5 was announced as PS3 exclusive in May of 2006 at E3. Well recently it has been announced by Sega that VF5 is now being made for the 360 (i wonder why?) Also there is a rumor that Tekken 6 will be made for the 360 (that would really hurt Sony) and recently the maker of Metal Gear Solid has recanted his previous statement, i'm sure you heard it, the MGS4 can only be made on PS3 to MGS4 CAN be made on the Xbox 360 (i wonder why?)
In the end Sony will rue the day it wasted a whole year to jam Blu Rey down their fan's throat.

Yeah you would be surprised what a year could do. After all it is new technology they are working with. Plus I never said specifically an fps I meant all genres or most genres will evolve or become better in a year.

I really beg to differ. First, Sonys Dev kits were out the same time (Within a month) of the X360 dev kits. Also note, GOW is Epics first title on 360, so this year ahead argument is moot. Shouldnt it be vice versa, becasue the 360 was (So called) rushed? The fact is Sony had 1 year extra time for hardware, and game development, and we all can see the results. PS3 was released to win a format war, gaming second.
Second, fight night was said to be better because of more dev time, but anyone who has seen the actually side by side comparison can see that it doesnt even touch the 360 version graphics wise. The lighting is off(Pour), low res textures, 2d crowds, and frame rate issues. There has not been one game (Except Resistance) that even comes cloe to the 360 counterparts. If you cant see this, your just fooling yourself.
But being a technophile i am, i will be buying a PS3, even though alot say its allready failed. But thats just me, the general public is seems to have lost interest, and the hype train has crashed.

No the 360 was not rushed.... And they still had an extra year for games...

Same TV, and we both agreeded that fightnight looks worse on the ps3. I have seen all the old comparison screens, and they did look good, but i havent seen it look as good as the screens in real life. And isnt in the game mode just like the 360 version when you do a special haymaker, then your in first person mode?
And FYI, ill defend both consoles when i see comments like your first post (Reguardless of which side is being bashed). If something is false, ill point it out. And the other part of my post is becasue the wait a year thing is getting old and anoying. And your reply to eman was quite rude, and screams fanboy. Have you even played fightnight? I doubt it.

i'd say that most sports games are better on hte ps3. graphics wise, they are pretty similar but the sixaxis is a nice addition in the 2k sports games. however, i agree that madden is better on the 360.
and saying that the ps3 had a year extra arguement is bs is complete bs. the devs are now fully harnessing the power of the 360. by march, devs will start to use the full power of the console. in a year, i believe that the ps3 will be quite a bit better gameplay wise and graphics wise.

Well I did the same thing and me and three other people all agreed the ps3 version was by far better. Oh and yes I have played fight nght round 3 it was prtty good. I would give it a 8 out of 10. You think im a fanboy? Look at eman he screams 360 fanboy. Look at other comments he posted. He posted the same comment in like three threads. Just proves he was a fanboy and he got suspended for it.

Just reading this debate makes me post my opinion.
One thing I can say is being a gamer and being a "true gamer" it doesn't matter which is better for you, you have more games to play on any console, but I see Wii as the grandfather, ps3 as the daddy(in this time) and the 360 as the grandson trying to learn the ropes of all the game console that have experience in the gaming indt. I know there has being some sepc on hdmi and 1080p on 360 which was mentioned from MS that ppl didn't care about that and some how want to change that which bugs me because I have a 360 and now would have to buy a completly new console being that there is no adaptor to the original 360 for those capabilities. That's going to be 10 mill of pissed of ppl going off at MS because they were where trying to compete with ps3's capabilities and 1080p. That's some striaght up BS but again its only speculation. One thing I can say is that no matter what there will always be games on a console and a console that will be sold at that time time., sowho really cares, unless your a die hard fanboy and will always find a way to bitch about things. Just enjoy gaming and compete with the elite if your a true gamer.

And yes I do like Sony. But I like every next-gen system. I doubt a system could actually be crap unless it wasn?t made by Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. But my favorite system is (you guessed) the ps3. That is only because well I just like it better. I also think the Wii is fun when playing with someone else and Xbox well is just Xbox. They do a lot of things good and a few things they try doing end up bad, but that?s okay every system has its faults and defaults.

More then one of them.....
But yeah I like Blu-ray for video games and normal dvds for movies.... So I take it you cant watch dvds on your ps3 right? I never tried that yet.....

Oh yeah... definitely, I smell a few of them (Microsoft moles).
Yes, I can watch Blu-ray movies, original DVDs and backup DVDs flawlessly. My 3 year old SONY HDTV is lucky to have a DVI input and it fully supported 720p and 1080i. Yeah, I know it sucks without full HD 1080p, but for now I'm good with 720p or 1080i because I'm more than 10 feet from my TV anyways.

Yeah I just have one of those dvd players that hae a button you can press to just make it 1080i .... But I dont play my systems on my 52 inch lcd screen because it could wreck it. So I have all my systems hooked up to a normal 20 inch tv....
