Help on playing copied ps2 games on ps3

So I was wondering if anyone out knows about a way that's already out or one coming up that would allow copied games to be played on a ps3? My ps2 just died and I just got a ps3 so any thing would be very helpful...thank you!

I´m not sure, but by theory, Swap Magic should work on ps3, since SM is a ps2 disc, and ps3 reads ps2 discs. I think only is needed to turn off the sensors for the tray when opened. (this is just an idea!).

Yeah, you would most probly have to open the machine up to figure out how to shut off the sensors that warn the ps3 the door drive is open.
Unless the ps3 works in a whole different way. Havnt played with one yet.

The PS3 loads like a car cd player so swap magic isn't going to work without some type of after market replacement top like ones made for the PS2. Honestly you would most likely be better off just buying a new PS2 right now than trying to modify the PS3. Or even find a used PS2 at a pawn shop. Shouldn't be that expensive since they sell for $130.00 new. Good luck.
