Thats weird, you shouldn't have a DHCP sever, that is usualy only for a T1 or T3 internet connection, or if you are useing a router! At the begining is there a tab that says "easy" under the setup? if so click that and try again!

I got it. This great guy at the sony ps3 fourms named Monsignor told me what to do.

"You need to clear your MAC lock.Unplug everything and start over. Unplug the AC adapter from the modem/router (not from the wall, from the back of the box). Wait a few minutes. then plug in the ac adapter. Wait till all the lights come up then plug in the ethernet cable into the router. Then plug in the ethernet cable to the ps3. Then turn on your ps3." (Monsignor)

Thank god for his help this whole ps3 thing has been driving me nutty trying to get HD and now the internet. :-)

Anyways yeah I got it. :-)

not yet i still have a hdmi dvi wire coming. I won it off e bay brand new made by monster for only 20 bucks. If that dont work i'll just go with component. If that dont work ill save up for a new tv. I'm not really in a rush. I know my ps3 works, so im happy.
