burning at 16x with dvd shrink

I have went through dvd fab and dvd rebuilder and my DVD Shrink will not burn. It give me a burn failed 16x(22,160KB/s)

DVD Shrink will not burn because DVD Shrink does not burn. What program is doing the actual burning? Can you post the burn log file so others can see what might be the problem?

Welcome to the forum. If you used DVD-Rebuilder why did you not use Imgburn to burn the iso file. Also if you used that program you do not need to use Shrink. Since Shrink is not a burning program did you use Nero to burn or DVDDecrypter. Also you should not burn at 16X as you will get more failures. Try 6-8X. If you used Nero to burn post the Nero log

How do I change the DMA to 8x? Is verbatim is another brand name of a blank dvd?

Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware , click on the Device Manager, click on the plus sign to the left of IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller, right-click on Secondary IDE Channel, click on Uninstall. Then reboot and Windows should properly install it.
You need to Google for a free Registry Cleaner and conflicts in the registry will cause this problem. Some people on this forum use CCleaner(free) and say it works for them. You can Google for it
Verbatim is a Brand Name DVD. If you are in the US you can get them from BestBuy

You're still burning at 16x. You should be burning at 8x.

You really do need to slow it down as I think this is a laptop. If it is then I would not go any faster than 4X. I also think that the burner does not like the Sony DVD's. You are also having problems w/ the Mobo talking to the burner. Is this computer by any chance under warranty. Do you have a friend that has a spare Verbatim blank DVD. If so borrow that and try and make sure it is a (+) DVD.

Try to get Roxio Zapper here to completely zap Roxio out of your system.

On a second thought here, why would you want to go through DVD Shrink after DVD-Rebuilder? Once DVD-Rebuilder is done, you can simply burn the ready-to-burn ISO or VIDEO_TS with either Nero or ImgBurn.

Put a blank disk in the DVD burner and run Nero drive tools. You should then be able to change the speeds there so they will be seen in other programs

You need to put a blank disc in it, then you can set speed to 4 or 8 times.
