how did he do that? is it possible that Sony didn't include protection against BD-R's that have been burned i.e. not official ps3 game discs. When you burned a dvd of a ps2 game without swapmagic, it would say that it could not recognize the disc and to enter a ps2 format disc. maybe the ps3 will accept any BDrom, burned or real.

Its burned, you can see it says BD-R on it, and he rit the game name with a felt-tip pen.

Seems interesting, too bad we cannot see the PS3 cables having a direct link to the TV inputs...that's always fishy...

Yes well i had a pirated DVD Disc "Saw 3" and i inserted it to see if it worked and it did!! this was on christmas right when i got it i said hmm i wanna watch saw 3 and i was watching it and it worked fine. maybe my burned ps2 games that i have for my moded ps2 will work with ps3!

PS3 just cant play backups if they could no opne would buy the games.
Like Oner said that PS3 is before they released it and they didnt portect it yet.

They're dev units which are given out to developers for testing and programming. Average people in Japan also don't have those.
