i want to updata my psp to 3.03 oe-a but am scared. av got 3.02 oe-b on my psp now. av been reading that the easy installer for 3.03 oe-a is bricking psp's. and am not to sure how to do it myself. and they are saying that there is no recovery mode!!!

I used the easy installer, it worked fine. Took less than 2 minutes. I ran it from 1.5 though.

Also a lot of us that did upgrade to 3.03OE-A have down went back to 3.02OE-A has it less problems with homebrew app's like,Pimpsreamer,X-Flash,Other people had reported Network problems and games no longer working.i would just stay where you are just now to be safe.

It was my understanding that 3.03OE-A2 has the least compatability problems. Is that not the case then ?

yh thats right. mn just mak ethe DATA.DAXR your self. simple easy and u noit hasnt been tampered with.
Just make sure ts 17.5mb.

I upgraded to 3.03OE-A fine and to begin with every thing seemed ok all the games i had tried worked it was when i came to use app's like pimpstreamer i would get crash's and network connection errors even after resetting default settings,I like streaming music and movies so i went back to 3.02OE-A as it's better for me.I will go back up to 3.03OE-A when homebrew app's are more stable.

thanks for the replys! think am going to stay with 3.02 oe-b i think untill the problems r fixed with the 3.03 oe-a. thanks again!!

All my game's worked great it was PimpStreamer that caused me to go back to 3.02OE-A.Apart from that 3.03OE-A worked fine.

am giving it a go! am geting abit scared now its bin extrecting and packing 3.03 firmware for about 5 min. is this normal?

yeah i upgraded to 3.03 oe-A and then to 3.03oe-a' how would i go back to 1.5 then to 3.02oe-b? (or just stright to 3.02oe-b to save the trouble) because i have noticed that some programs dont work (like X-Flash). thanks for the help

av dun it and every thing works fine. am sending this off my psp! i dnt really use much homebrew all i do is play game so this is class!

i highly recomend updateing to this i was playing legend of legaia on my 3.02 oeb and there were some major graphical glitches, the game was still playable but looked so screwy, after updateing with the files found on psp hacks i was able to play legaia with no graphical errors, i recomend updateing to 3.03 and i had absolutly no problem at all doing it, dont do the easy installer as it is really easy to install this anyways

Dont upgrade to 3.03....you must download the programs and update files to get 3.03OE-A. If you update to just 3.03 you wont be able to downgrade.

i was just reading some of your sigs... theres 3.03 OE-B now ?
PSP -> 2.60 TA-082 + 2.71 - 1.5 + 3.03 OE-A + OE-B + OE-C + 3.52 M33 - 3.40 OE-A + 3.52 M33-4 + 3.71 M33-4 + 4.01 M33-2 w/ 1.50 k = dropped 1ft and lost my PSP permanently

Wow, I leave these forums for a week or so and I come back to find ANOTHER DarkAlex custom FW? Jesus that guys works fast!!
I must confess I've not used a custom FW ever before, I've been a DH user since I got my 1.5 PSP. I'm currently running under DH 0.51 BETA emulating FW 3.01.
Will it be relatively easy to get rid of this DH completely and install 3.03OE-A (or B assuming your sigs are correct?)?
Oh and the big question: can 3.03OE-A/B be uninstalled easily after installing it if I choose to go back to DH or whatever?

After you upgrade to 3.03OE-A' you wont need Devhook/Hen-D anymore! You play all your ISO's right from the card. If you want to go back to 1.50, hole the R trigger when resetting your psp.

just format the mem stick to get rid of devhook completely then goto psp hacks and look for the easy installer for 3.03oe-a but make sure you are on 1.5 or 3.02oeb before updating to 3.03oea, then after you get the 3.03oea i highly recomend upgrading to 3.03oeb because it fixes alot of the problems in 3.03oea
one more thing...dark alex is a godly hacker keep up the amazing work

my friend bricked my psp for upgrade and degrade version and install 3.02 oeb....
it take him 2 time to get it right.....so i end up with 1 brick and 1 working one....paid for 400$ PSP

shitty the best way to do it is on your own but if u buy an undiluted modchip for the psp (up modchip) then the bricked one will work and you could resell it, if you do that keep the chipped one as it can never be bricked
