Okay time to get started.Open PS3 Video 9 software then click setting in the top left hand corner.Look in the Box that say one-click settings.This is how you should set it up, Device:PS3,Profile:MPEG-4 SP 768kbps,& Process Priority:Normal.Now click the Convert tab in the left hand corner.In the Conversion Queue hit One-Click Convert It will give you a window to look for the AVI you want to convert find and locate the file you want then click on it then hit the open button & sit back and let the files convert.the amount of time depend on how large the file are.
Okay when the file finish converting you have to option of how you can transfer the file to your PS3.Memory Stick or Make a disc that the PS3 will be able to read.Memory Stick will be the easy way to do it.If you got your Memory Stick make sure you have it in your PC memory stick slot.Now go back to PS3 Video 9 and click the tab Library This is where all the files that has been converted are stored,This is to make sure that the files are there.
Memory Stick Way:
Locate to Memory Stick then click on it to go inside of it.Once your inside your Memory Stick Make a file inside of it name VIDEO locate the converted files on your PC they should be in a folder called Red Kawa:look inside the MPEG-4 SP folder.Right click on the file then select send which will be to your Memory Stick.Now go back to the Memory Stick drag the file into the VIDEO folder.Then you are finish.
Nero blank dvd -/+ r way:
Open Nero then click onto burn a DVD-data disc then look for your file as i show you above how to find them.Click burn to disc.Now you are finish.
Both of the two ways i showed you will let you save the file to you PS3 hard drive.If there are any question feel free to ask me and i will help you the best i can.Goodluck.

I had to manually change the default PS3 profile setting from MPEG-4 SP to MPEG-4 AVC. You can also accomplish this by clicking the Convert Video button and changing it from SP to AVC before clicking Start.
The files encoded in SP did not work, however the AVC encoded files did.

Easier method (upload the video, adjust settings & then d/l the file)
PS3 has no game region lock so you can buy a game anywhere in the world & play it on your country's PS3. Some PSN online games may not work if they require you to connect directly to the Online game from your home country. Connecting to a server for that country would most likely allow them to work.
Blu-ray DVD does have 3 region locks, so if you are not in that region you won't be able to watch the Blu-ray on your PS3. Regions
As long as you use SW to convert the files, they should be viewable on any PS3 anywhere in the world.
