Help dumping PS3 game onto HDD

Have a 60 GB HDD with 1.32 upgrade installed. Using Yellow Dog Linux v5.0. HDD partitioned with OS 10GB and PS3 having 50GB

I log onto the root control panel in linux

Load NBA 2K7 into rom of ps3 and type in this command....EXACTLY

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/imagename.img

Press enter, and it moves to next line and cursor just keeps blinking.

What am i doing wrong here? I don't think the game is dumping and if it is, i can't find it anywhere.
I'm wondering if this command is correct. The tuts i've seen have this in reference to the Fedora Linux, is it the same with Yellow Dog too?

im also trying to find out how to dump blu ray disk. can someone please tell us EXACTLY what to type in. thanks. please write the command in bold
