DVD Shrink Won't Analyse DVD

I have read some guides here trying to find out how to make a backup of my DVD's. When I try and use DVD Shrink, it will not do anything, I open the program and then click open disk, then i open my dvd, and the analysing screen comes up and nothing happens, it stays at 0 percent, and the program stops responding. I was wondering if this is my computer, or if there is another way to make a backup of a dvd?

I have version 3 and i have tried earlier versions aswell, haven't tried the other programs yet though, will give them a try soon
