well i have been thinking long and hard about getting a ps3 and at the moment i just dont see the point of getting one.
sony have brought the ps3 out way to late and it just wasnt worth it...
i mean the ps3 should have probaly been much better than it is givin more time but sony felt the need to rush it out and as a result is lacking features they really didnt need to do this as the ps2 can just about hold it's ground against the 360 on it's own they would have been better off just bringing out a suped up ps2 ( hd capable etc) out at the x-box 360 launch and let that kick the 360's ass in the meentime they could spend as long as they liked perfecting the ps3 and then just bring it out when it is finished and they would have completley taken over the gaming market.
i would like to hear peoples opinions about this whether you agree or not etc.
Do you remember the PSP how when it came out it sorta sucks, because sony rushed it but how huge it is now? That is because sony dose firmware updates that add features to their consoles and they are going to do this with the PS3
The PSP is still alive and kicking here in the US! Yes, but Dev HOOK, on the PSP the hackers used the new Fermware and dealetd the extra security with devhook!
Devhook is outdated ever since the release of Dark_Alex's Custom Firmware. It allows you to still run your 1.5 homebrew with the added funcionability of newer sony firmwares. I just wonder who will continue to update the custom firmware to coorelate with sony after Dark_Alex leaves the scene... Maybe sticking with devhook is the best option for now...
the reason ps3 was delayed so much was because of that blu ray drive and the mafufacturing problems with the blue laser diode. sony's Trying to swallow more then it can chew.
I think that dosn't matter too much cos sony got what's important, the games, ps2 sucked the first year, is just matter of time until the great games are here, well that what i bulieve, there could be a surprise, i think wii is being the surprise but they need more games.
Ps2 I think had a better launch lineup at least here in Aus
Games like Gt1 3,Gran turismo 3,Final Fantasy X i know it came out later than in the Us thats why some of the games that werent launch tehre were here but Gt3 and GTa3 is enough to beat naylaunch those games are cool and still are
