i doubt that its going to be a modchipp hack but probably a softmod that will come out like the psp and 360.

Ferrox iso loader hahah!
Most likely use an external plug & pray or mod like USB extreme disc. Somebody already has a video up but you really can't see what's going on. I'd like it if the person involved in this will explain a bit more. There's a link to their website at the video.
Just ripped that video & u/l it here so spread the knowledge :)

problem is that as soon as a mod chip or softmod comes out, Sony will come up with a firmware update to defeat it

any softmod for the ps3 is going to come from "other os". There is no other way, sony makes you update.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

@anubis66: do you think the PS3 will have easily broken updates like the PSP? I've read on some boards that Dark Alex has a PSP update decrypted & available as a patch within 1-2 days. That's mad crazy, maybe $ony is falling behind on hiring good programmers these days? ;)

well im happy with my 3.03 oe-c, it is bug free. im sure the ps3 files are well encrypted, and im sure the ps3 is well preprogramed against custom firmware. something will come along, and it will probably be us early adopters reaping form the modchip, and the later's getting he shaft. they learned alot from psp, but obiously not to get good games fast.

i think hard mods are a thing of the past now.. i think that ended with PS2... Soft mods are the future... I would bet that soon as the loader or soft mod is released, it will open a flood gate.. its just a matter of time b4 it happens..Sony get ready....

did you put it in the right spot on the memory card? theres some folders it needs to be in. then run "install otheros"
