you should just get an external HDD. internal HDD for the ps3 cost way more then externals.

how come my ps3 doesnt recognize my external hdd? do i have to format it to something?

I dont think i want external its a big thing u got to caarry around as if the ps3 isnt enough. But like does the internal one have to be a ceartian size or somthing

it has to be a 2.5" serial ata hard disk drive to work. an example of one would be : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822149055

Is your external hd a sata drive? It needs to be a sata drive.

Thanks for posting that. You wouldn't happen to know, by chance, what the HDD it ships with is, would you? I'd like to compare it to some of the ones on the market.
