Has anybody come out with a guide for this yet?
It seems possible. Putting an ISO of a PS3 game into the PS3, and playing from there. Or taking an game ISO, and burning it on to a DVD or BlueRay disc recognizable by the PS3.
Any thoughts?

Welll, hmmm, No guide on Mod'n yet. Supposely an ISO loader is in the works.Cant burn to DVD, cause its all Blue Ray, Can burn to Blue ray but a burner will cost more than whats its worth. Better to dump to External or internal HDD then load it with a loader...

Thanks for the info. I've never done any modding before, but totally dedicated to getting a jump on PS3 modding. Not sure about the terms you used.
In the other thread, somebody installed Linux right and managed to put a PS3 game into the hard drive to play.
I have never done any of that before, so if possible would you know any guides on that or something similar?

to dump a game onto your HDD, Heres what I found
log onto the root control panel in linux
Load Disc into Disc Drive of ps3 and type in this command....EXACTLY
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/imagename.img
Press enter
This is basically what I used..

This is great!
I'm excited. Thanks for the info.
I now know how to install Fedora 5 or Yellow Dog into the PS3.
Can ubuntu be installed? I'm not very familiar with Linux.
Is there a reason why Fedora 5 is used intead of 6 which I found out was the latest?
Now to the main question:
With an OS now installed into a PS3, is it possible for it to play burned PS3 or PS2 games?
What about playing games from the hard drive?
Thanks!

I'm sort of trying to figure out if they can do this. I would assume that the OS would be able to run any game. But need more info.

Once Ubuntu or any other OS is installed, how can you do anything else like play games?
Say I have a PS3 game:
How do I back it up onto a blank disk or ISO.
Then play either the blank disk from the PS3 BR-Drive or the ISO from the PS3 hard drive.
Is it still not possible to do this?
