Does anyone know of a resource or article where all the acronyms used in Bittorrent files can be found (mainly video files)?

I have found it quite interesting the numerous ones you see.
Obvious ones are DivX XviD.

Are ones that seem obvious, LOL, NoTV but some are just beyond me...

What, you mean abbreviations like 1080p WMV-HD HDTV DTS 768K AC3 448K ?

Not all of them are acronyms since not all are pronounceable as words. HDTV is not an acronym for example. Never mind! Just me being anal.

In fact, in the Bit Torrent world they seem to be called "tags".

For those that aren?t familiar with the scene and film tags, you're missing out on some important info. Tags can provide some interesting and valuable information about the torrent. It can save you from downloading something you weren?t looking for.
How about this pinned thread, "Movie titles, What is what in the title" on the Mininova forum?

http://forum.mininova.org/index.php?showtopic=207

It explains all the common tags like DivX, SVCD, Cam, and also some of the ones you find in TV show titles. It does not contain every one I've ever seen.

Another one is

File Sharing Dictionary

This one has a lot more. You need to have javascript enabled -

Google can be a big help. I found the second one by typing the topic and some example abbreviations:-

movie torrent titles XviD AAC Cam

You can also find info about specific tags that way.
