'Horde makes downloading even faster.
You will join the Horde for a file you are downloading. You will then find
other users that are also in the Horde and partner with them. This means
that you will each send parts of the file to each other until it is
complete. This way you work closely with other people that are also
downloading the file to complete it together. The Horde will work together
to ensure that the file is downloaded as fast as possible to everyone.
Horde is the leech killer.
When you download in a Horde you are always seeking partners that give you the best speeds. Since everyone is doing this, those that have the highest upload speeds will also get the highest download speeds. If you don't upload then you wont find people to partner with you so your downloads will be sluggish. With Horde the more you give the more you will receive.'
The improved handling of crumbs (a subset
of a chunk) combined with the new part handling system (which reduces HD overhead), is also a big step in attacking the problem of corruption.
Corruption can be checked at more stages, and the final corruption check
has also been enhanced, which should completely do away with the final
state of 'Corrupted'. Downloads that would have previously received this
status are instead re-checked for salvageable parts, and re-queued for
download.

They both use the same network, so u cant really say either is faster. eMule is less buggy than edinkey2000 is however!

Not in my experience! Don't know about eDonkey2000 because it stayed on my hard drive for about 10mins (as it opened a new version of the donkey on every edk2 link I clicked).
Used an earlier version of eDonkey and used to average about 2 movies a month...swapped to eMule and average a movie every 2 days (on ISDN light). Of course Dela's tutorial may have helped ;-)
But overall I've had NO problems with eMule...compared to eDonkey
Dela..I read a problem you had with a file hashing forever on edonkey..just a tip if u dont already know..when files start hashing..going through and setting the priority on "highest" on each download I find kicks them into search mode.
