Its pretty pathetic with the fanboys though. "Man, bring back Rumble, no rumble sucks." Sony:"We'll getting back rumble most likely." Fanboy:"Man they ****ing suck, their rumble will most likely suck anyway."

Yo!

It took them this long to admit how important rumble was. That's great. I hope someone talks to them about the $600 price tag next. If they could drop the price a little and do something about lack of true HD compatibility with older 1080i only sets I'd be a lot closer to getting one.

Seriously how is it Sony's fault that the TV maker was cheap and didn't include 720? As for upscaling that can be fixed via firmware updates in the future so why blame Sony for something out of their hands?

Let me get you up to speed Oner,

If you were an early HDTV adopter 1080i was all they could do a couple of years ago so that has nothing to do with the TV maker being cheap. Seriously, you shouldn't have to invest thousands of dollars in a TV every couple of years. Second, if Xbox 360 can support 720p and 1080i right from the start (which it does), PS3 should have been able to do the same thing.

I was an early adopter and my TV has 720p and ONLY 1080i (no P) and my PS3 works flawlessly with it, so again I ask how did Sony mess that up and NOT support them from the start? Oh also please don't confuse me saying you where cheap, that was not my intent, only towards the manufacturer. But I could understand your dilemma which is why I said a FW update could fix that and has from my understanding.

Sony already taking a 200 price cut on every console how much more you need off.360 not even half that.

That not a issue with Sony because your set is out of date New TV's makes & models come off the assembly line everyday. They are trying to fix this issue give them time.

Microsoft: Ps3 cant do 60fps on 1080p. Guess what they were WRONG!!!!!
(11/19/05 - 9/19/06) Microsoft: Sony's 1080p support on PS3 is all Hype and Not Needed.
(9/20/06) Microsoft: Xbox 360 to add 1080p support.

If a firmware update comes out that'll be cool. Otherwise I'm good playing just my 360 in 1080i and my Wii and won't miss not have a PS3 too much. I'll probably get another TV in 2008 sometime, but I feel no rush until. It's so funny how some PS3 fanboys get so defensive when anything is said putting Sony in a bad light. However, I would think everyone would appreciate it when a company thinks about all it's customers rather than telling them to spend even more money first.

If you think Microsoft think about there customers thats insane they think about the dollars in your pocket. Why do they make you pay for online, nickel & dime you to death with all there little Accessories.Microsoft do the same thing Sony does. what i said was not fan boy stuff its the truth no matter which console if 360 had this issue i would say the same thing people are quick to place blame on someone or company without looking deeply into the issue.

z0mg the fanboy smell in this thread is WRETCHED! lolz

anyway, Rumble is important & $ony is finally paying out $$$ rather than taking it in. hmmm maybe they came up with the $ for this lawsuit ("stupid engineers! fire them all" - Ken Kutaragi) by doing this 'we are SKINFLINTS!' lolz $ony is really hurting and "trying to cut costs across the board". ummm yeah they are cutting something but it ain't costs

Back on topic

"We are pleased to have put this litigation behind us," said Immersion CEO Victor Viegas. "Our new business agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment is specifically intended to enable advanced vibration capability for the benefit of the PlayStation gaming community. We are happy to provide our technology in this regard and hope to make technical proposals very soon with respect to use of our technology in the PlayStation products."

I'm thinking maybe a new type of rumble, not like the ps2 setup.

It would probably be either or when it comes to rumble and six axis...i think iv made a comment on this b4 in some other thread. I was saying how PS3 should have rumble but disabled while using six axis and vice versa. Cuz rumble will disrupt the motion sensing.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)
