I think I've conjured up a 3.11 downgrader, unfortunately, I don't have the guts to try it out myself... If anyone here is willing to test this for me, I'd be 100% MOST appreciative.
Simply download the file, unzip it to a directory of your choice, then in your PSPs GAME folder, create a folder called "UPDATE" (No Quotes) and paste the EBOOT.PBP in that. Then from your game menu, run the 'update'.

why not do it yourself?
people would simply think of you as a scum. and some might even report you to a mod and have you banned. you know you could be bricking everyone's PSPs.

Woah... talk about your fast replies...
Anyway, why on earth would I want to brick everyone's PSPs?
I simply am really out of cash and can't afford a new one, and therefore require testers.
For instance someone who's got a PSP they don't use, or someone who's willing to buy a new one...
Could be worth a try.

heh..i would try it if i had a 3.11, u dont have anything to loose anyway,if u get a brick,bring it back to the store and tell them that it was black screen when u turned it on..
ul probably get a new one and maybe itll be a lower fw

get a working link and without havin to sign up to shit and ill do it.

also u could always open it up with PBPUnpacker and have a look....
give the kid a break if it does work he done u a big fukin favour!

u took same risk wit Dark_Alex Release but coz there was bit of info on it u still did it!

Ok well got the file from him...
i have been told tht he got 1.50 EBOOT and changed the version to 3.12 so wil play newer games but still has 1.50 firmware...
im not sure if this will actually work as it will try installin 1.50 but sayin it is 3.12.... dont think quite works like tht.
however someone else may be able to edit it a bit and fix it!

you have to downgrade to 1.50 to upgrade to 3.11..
