Hi everyone,
Ok, i finally taught myself how to shrink last weekend and this weekend all of my dvds are coming with an error message.
I downloaded fab decrypter and it still isnt working...what am i doing wrong???

HI,
error message reads
"DVD Shrink encountered and error and cannot continue.
Invalid Filename
The System Cannot find the file specified"
so i downloaded the fab decrypter and it still is reading same error message. i have selected the right path on the c drive (under DVD- not the name of the movie i am trying to burn).....I'm really new at this, sorry.

This error is usually caused by copy protection on the DVD that shrink can't handle because it's not updated any longer. Depending on the movie and the version of DVDFab decrypter you have, DVDFab should of helped.

What movie is it?

The latest version of DVDFab (free) is 3.0.8.6, if you don't have this version you can get it here:

If DVDFab isn't helping, try ripit4me, it uses DVDshrink/DVD decrypter/and FixVTS in a one click mode to backup just about any movie. The link to R4ME is given below.

bbmayo's RipIt4Me guide has links for the software and how to get everything set up and installed along with easy "how to" on getting a clean rip and doing the backup. It's definitely the easiest to set up. It uses an all in one installer. It's a seamless system with RipIt4Me, opening the files in Shrink, with Shrink set to auto burn with ImgBurn. The revised version of Shrink used in the guide supports ImgBurn instead of DVD Decrypter burner ware supported by the original Shrink 3.2.
