Well i was one of the suckers that played the wii once and fell in love with it, then rushed out and got me one. well three months later, i never play it and there are hardly any games for it or at least any cool games. I love sony products and the only reason i bought a wii instead was because of the price.
Well now i've realised that what i really wanted was a ps3, so i've decided to buy one. but my question is which one should i buy? the 20gb or the 60gb? I've heard that you can get an external hdd to expand your hdd capacity, so is buying a 60gb really worth the added cost, since you can buy an expanded hdd if needed later down the road? I don't know much about the ps3 but i know about hdds and an extra 40gb is hardly worth and extra $100!
1st question:
So is there any advantage other than hdd size that the 60gb package has over the 20 gb?
2nd question:
can you back up ps3 games yet? if so what about modchips? and premodded ps3s? - i know blu ray burners are really expensive but is it possible to purchase legal back ups or ps3 games?
1st question: there are other advantages. the 60gb has wi-fi, while the 20gb doesnt. the 60 also has CompactFlash, SD Memory Card and Memory Stick Duo card slots, oh and chrome trim :)
thats about it, so if you dont plan on using memory cards, you are goin to wire it for internet, and you plan on upgrading the HDD(which you can) then in that case i guess you could get the lil one to save 100. but i personally think sony should just get rid on the lil one.
depends. i mean i have used the memory card in my psp to transfer files and such. and you can control the ps3 XMB(the main menu if you will) from your psp. I haven't experimented with that too much, but they keep adding features that you can use that for, which the latest i think being that you can watch videos from your ps3 on your psp.
i would recommend getting the 60gb in most cases tho.

i have a psp also so do you think the wifi and the card slots would be beneficial?
If you want to use your PSP with your PS3 it would be so much easier with the 60GB, because you won't have to work your ass off configuring your router, PS3, and PSP for remote play. I would go with the 60GB because I never thought the Card Readers would be useful until I had a bunch of friends over, and they wanted to share pictures, and I had my PS3 connected to my projector which made it easy.
Note: A Best Buy employee told me that Sony is no longer making/shipping US PS3. I don't know if it is true.
#3- Where do you live, how much do you want?
PM me with details.
I would get the 60GB, if you are going to spend that much money, get it with all the features! I would buy from Best Buy and buy the extended replacement plan also, you never know what will die in 3 years.
