I've been gone from the forum for awhile, just backing up my PS2 stuff. I bought a new PS3 now.

I have read through all these diffrent threads and still lost. Is it worth putting linux on or not? I don't know JACK about linux anymore.

Do I have to format the internal PS3 drive? I can't just use a external drive to run Linux? (my guess is it has to be internal)Is there any other option to backup games, can't just dump them on drives?

Blue ray burners for windows will not read PS3 disc?

All any help (even thought it has been said before in threads) would be greatly apprecaited. I just need to get all this stuff in place and you all are brains.

well just to let you know, it is still not possible to play backup ps3 games. other than that i can't help you, i don't know much about linux
