Will HK PS3 work with UK Playstation Network?

Hi all,

I am getting Hong Kong PS3 in few weeks time. I know that the PS3 games are region-free.

But I wonder that if I buy Motorstorm or Resistence of Fall from Hong Kong or USA, will I be able to play those on UK Playstation network (since I live in UK)?

Or won't it work?

A silly question (well, I'm newbie to PS3 after all)

And if I got HK PS3, can I access to UK Playstation Network?

I am worreid that if I got HK playstation, I may be not allowed to access to UK Playstation network/shop, because my new PS3 is HK, not UK?


Please advise. Many thanks for your answers/explanations!

Am not sure, but i dont think it matters.
Once you try to connect online you have to register your PS3, so once its reged in the UK, i dont think it matters where your PS3 comes from, but i could be wrong...

THanks for the answer.

But what about this: Say, I buy HK version of Resistence:Fall of men in Hong Kong, and I play it through UK playstation network against my UK friends. Will I have a problem because it is not UK version of game? Or it doesn't matter really?

And is it same thing for HK PS2 games as well?

i brought my ps3 last november from HK with it i got ridge racer genji and a mech game they play fine ridge racer plays fine online , just sign up to the uk psn , i have signd up with uk psn and the hk psn

Many thanks! I heard that HK game of Armour Core 4 is japanese and the manual/talking are in japanese and no english subtitle?
