even with the 6010 unlocked will not work, in Nigeria with a local sim, the 6010 works on 850 /1900MHz in the USA, Nigeria networks work on 900 / 1800MHz
ENTER CODE WITH OUT SPACES
Remove sim first, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Code error", don't try again!!
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!!

I am interested in being able to unlock phones. Many people here seem to have sent IMEI codes and received unlock codes in return. My question for you is, where can I learn all about cellphones, unlock codes, software and hardware as well as very intimate details on cellphones and their capabilities.
For example... could j2me software on a nokia 6010 allow it to play mp3s? Could the software on the nokia be hacked to do mp3s? I have a preference for nokias. Id like to stick to the 3590/3595/6010 style phone. I like the fit in my hand and have TONS of hardware for 3590/3595/6010 phones all the cases, batteries, cables, earbuds, et cetera for these three are interchangeable. I'd love to have a bluetooth phone that is compatible with these cases, batteries, cables, earbuds, et cetera.
I also have a nextel. What can I do with Motorola. Also what phone can work on what networks?
Where do I learn about this?
Oh also my IMEI is 010420009122654 under t-mobile in the US is it hardcoded or not?

Guess it's not hardcoded... took a guess and tried an unlock code for t-mobile nokia 6100... then did the same for 3510... the 7 codes printed for both matched. So I tried the first code on the list and bang-zoom, no more restriction! That does not mean however that I still don't want to learn more... this stuff is neat!

Thanks for the fast reply,I could unlocked my phone with the code nolimit04 gave to me.I put in the cellular an italian card (wind and tim) but the phone still turn on with the t-mobile screen and,when I try to make a phone call,on the screen appear the message "not service".What is wrong?

Hi, I recently got a Nokia 6010 phone sent to me from my parents in the States, Minnesota to be exact. I've been searching all over the internet and everybody wants me to pay for unlocking so I'm asking if there is anyone here to help. Last website I looked at told me this model isn't available for unlocking...so I don't know if that means it's impossible or what. Anyway...so it's a USA phone IMEI number: 010336000078895 thanks so much...really, I need this to work, my samsung is a piece of crap and I need this new phone really bad...thanks a lot guys...
