i tried that site you suggested for unlocking my nokia 6102 but the codes didn't work - i tried the 1st and last -- any more suggestions?? i need to unlock my phone so that i can use my UK sim card in it too --

Just purchased a nokia 6102.
Was told it was unlocked.
Got it and it was not.
Called Cingular (USA) and they said the imei that i gave them was froma batch sent to the uk.
any idea how to unlock?

hey -
does anyone know if when you enter the codes and it says "phone restriction on" means that you've locked it permenantly or just that you haven't found the right code yet?? really really need this phone unlocked within the next few days or i'm phoneless in the uk -
any help would be great -

for everyone who wants to unlock their 6102 themselves, do the following:
1. grab the nokiafree calculator from http://geocities.com/benofficialmail/NokiaFREE32003.zip
2. second pulldown menu set to 'DCT4'
3. input your IMEI number/country/provider
4. on 5th pulldown menu, choose 'Asic 2', on last pulldown menu choose 'Original'
5. Click 'Calculate'
but i forgot what number to choose .. i think its the 7th or 9th one

your imei is incomplete. Please post the full correct IMEI number.
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!!(No Private Messages Please)
