The path should be something like...
VIDEO: (S) --> AVI Splitter --> FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R)
AUDIO: (S) --> AVI Splitter --> MPEG Layer-3 Decoder --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> (R)
If it renders but doesnt play that would be indicitive of a codec conflict -- which is why it is important to uninstall all yer codecs to start with :)

This thread is for PLAYBACK issues not for encoding problems.

I'm trying to play an .ogm file but I've been at it for hours and I still can't get it to work. Can someone help me?

Gspot:
Video Path: (S) --> AVI Splitter --> ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R)
Audio Path: (S) --> AVI Splitter --> MPEG Layer-3 Decoder --> (R)
Video Codec: 4cc Xvid
Audio Codec: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
However when i play the .avi file in any player wmp9, wmpclassic, wmp6.4, powerDVD the video frame is jerky/choppy but the sound plays normally
i've tried uninstalling ffdshow (as that's the only codec pack i use) but it still has the same effect
pls advise
thx in advance
Right i just followed your configs on the first page and it still didn't work the video is still choppy/jerky
DivFix error check came out with 0 errors
Oh and Indeo Codec always stalls and crashes when it "searches for netscape components" or something of the sort... i don't have netspace o_O i am running windows xp
pls advise
thx in advance

To play MKV files, head on over to http://packs.matroska.org/ and if you followed the guide on page1 then download the Matroska Pack Lite. Installing that should eb sufficient to play the MKV files

What are your system specs?

That's odd.... the installation should "seem to" stall for about 2 seconds and pop up a success window and yes, for WindowsXP you need the codec because for some demented reason, it doesnt come with XP. Which Indeo codec did you have problems with?

that one installs... or so i think
it doesn't seem to have any effect though for some reason... it doesn't even come up in the Add/Remove programs list is that meant to happen?
the thing is that when i play this vid in DivX player it plays the video in slow motion and the sound is fine
when i play it using VLC it plays the sound and video in sync but with sound glitches like a lil screech every now and then
with every other player it just gives a choppy/jerky vid and the sound plays properly
pls advise
