Well i have red 0805 leds from partco and one 12Ohm resistor, dad couldnt find 10ohms.
but there is another problem for me (surprise :S)
my power led/trigs are kinda always on.
so when i put my psp in full power off/sleep mode, trigs go like..power saving.
so they are less brighter and they loose their brightness all the time.
and about an hour after psp has been shut down, trigs/power led are still on. very dark, but can see em still.
just opened my psp some minutes ago and couldn't find anything that would be the problem.
Now my power led/trigs wont blink when batt is low...?
cant even tell the reason why.
+when psp is charging, there is both charge and power leds on (+trigs). and i havent connected those 2 plastic things in pobo any way.
By the way, i just ordered that psp rubber conductor from undercutter.
ány experience how long takes em to ship it here? ("royal mail 1st class £3.50")

Royal mail? I'd say at least a week.
My psp is also having the trigs always on for some reason. Used to be that the right trig would turn off randomly. Fixed that by checking wires (one had been cut by a screw)
Going to take another look and see what is up. May be because I am using the (+) point from the original mod rather than the one in the tut...not sure.

Heh just refreshed and there was your post :D
but i got the points like original mod. like in your pic.
´
any ideas? no screws making shorts/lcg cage has been taped and they worked PERFECTLY sum 2 days ago.
and could you take some pics from your trigs in dark?
like against a wall or something so i could see how much they light.

Well, Good job! compare that to my trigs and u got more light!
but that image is down -.- so no help from it :S
and DONT open up your psp just to show me the points. Now enjoy from your another analog!
edit - and also my right trig goes randomly off.
not like whole power off from trig, just not so bright, then it maybe goes off, then back on.
i'm pretty sure the fix would be the wire to led part.
Gonna try to fix it today.

So my rubber conductor came today.
Now my psp works. (at last :S)
eXcept that right trig where the wire-led part is loose.
no spare leds tho. and no 10ohm resistor yet. i guess i wont need em.
when i see em somewhere, i'll just take em.
and that rubber got 9 days to come. good guess on at least a week.

sonic and knuckles is the one currently in use.
Would have had a blue led on left (for sonic/his color is blue) but lost one and another one was faulty. So only had one red to work with.
Did have green but yeah...
I like the mushroom too. It is a combination of a regular mushroom (from mario) and the tatoos on kratos (god of war (the video game for ps2)).
Shroom of war ;)

Well, i screwed my whole psp. (maybe) URGENT help needed.
So it worked as usual today. then dad came from partco (he bought 10ohm resistor and some leds) and i repaired my mod.
i did the job well and got there 2 leds in each trig instead of one.
then i tried my psp and it worked well. worked like 3 boots or something.
but then i asked my dad that do i have wrond resistors cos 10ohms would be right for two leds, and i had now 4.
he said add one 10ohm resistor like..dont know the word but NOT in series.
so tried and added another.
i got it quite good added but then when i put my batt in,
(my batt is autoboot battery, boots right when you put it in, serial number things i think)
the leds (power/trigs) lit up, but there was no memorystick led blinking in start as usual.
no chainsaw sound too. volume was on. (changed the bootsound)
so i removed the added resistor and got the mod like one 10ohm resistor and 4 leds, 2 in each trig (worked before today)
and no help at all.
now im desperate to get my psp work again :S
------------
has my mobo maybe fried? when i added the resistor and put the psp on?
but now when i think, i did not even touch the mobo? didnt even solder anything to it..?
..i dont know what to do... :<
oops kinda long message only me whining :D
--
but help if you can. [ why always I screw things up!! >( ]

Dont even think about helping.
The answer is lamest shit ever:
My ac adaptor broke and my battery ran empty just like minute before i tried to put it on.
so i tried with broken charger and empty battery >D
no wonder it didn't boot >D
but now i got the 2 leds in each trigger and my psp works great.

Glad you figured it out, my psp's green power led is now very very dim. Though this is probably because it has like 30 min on life left. Should probably charge it.

Bit waking this thread up again...did you have to disassemble the whole psp to get the umd door off?
cos if you want to change the umd laser, you have to disassemble whole psp. (but who the hell wants to..? :P)

Okay, just thought if do umd door mod sometimes, ill maybe change my backplate same time. (metallic red, perhaps?)
since only "modded" thing in my psp's back is painted ring :P
but i HATE clear CASES actually, everyone uses em. (i modded my psp cause it wouldn't look same as everyone's)
also i hate those psps with 20+ leds (xmas trees)
but thanks for the info.
whats the hardest part in disassembling/assembling psp?
i dont know about the mobo, everytime stopped disassembling before it would be removed. (there has been no need for mobo removal)

I would definitely say disassembly of the analog stick. That thing was hell when I was doing the raxor x mod.

Well ok then, but whats the hardest part in disassembling if we dont count those mods.
so lets say you have to disassemble/assemble psp straight from shop.
when like removing the parts, what could easily broke?
also what took you most time to remove?

Hmmm, in that case I would say the LCD (ribbons and all) the rest is really just unscrew and remove, pretty easy. The UMD door is a little hard to remove but a butter knife gets the job done real easy.
The switches are rather easy to break if pressure is applied in the wrong way. Switches being wifi switch and on/off switch.

Ok. I think i'll be waiting parts soon (again..) since i lost that analog cap/nub whatever you call it, can be removed by pulling off.
but it was kinda broken. it tilted in every diresction and came off like every minute and it was loose. so not bad.
Well, heres a link. not bad price too.

not anything unusual, just little offtopic; my friend who has a psp (not a modder) [i wouldn't call myself as a "modder" tho]
so his WLAN is broken. said he dropped his psp and after that it isnt working. could you say is it from internal wlan antenna ( i can replace it if he wants) or is it some software problems. ?
maybe i post the error code/more info later.

popped...? :D
okay but yeah i opened it up to mobo but everything was ready for mobo removal except UMD ribbon, i asked does he want me to get it off, he said yep, i tried to remove ribbon but i couldn't.
(i know theres 2 lil black tabs and i know how to remove em dont say about it ;> )
so we assembled it up after some trying.
maybe i'll try again only myself if he borrows his psp to me some day.
but it is internal error, for sure and error code is : 80410A0B internal error.
---------
some "news"
---------
dad bought a wlan box, dunno the right word but the wlan modem kinda thing.
so now i can play syphon filter: Combat ops infrastructure :>
---
also i will open my psp up to umd door next week cause i got some old cd cases and i drew circles in em with x-acto knife and i had the psp's red ring on the case.
so theyre almost perfect when cut. less sanding when i do the umd door mod mayb.
and next week i have that technic job things on school,
(right words missing... :S)
and then i'll use those tools at school to cut the umd door/"my jewel"
also could i remove the whole UMD drive ?
(no need, also psp is lighter w/out)
like if theres a jewel on umd door, i can see the..um...mobo support thingy?
would there be problems without the drive?
again , long post of me talking/ lot of questions...
