Does anybody have an idea about this? I semi bricked my psp yesterday and a friend of my friend fixed it. He put a memory card and it rebooted everything back to 1.5. how did that work? coz i did not see any icons anymore that's why the recovery can run. i did not back it up before. it was like it was auto run or something. he did not want to give his software nor say the name. he just said it flashed it back to 1.5. can anyone answer this so that if it happens again... i can fix it.

its called recovery mode wot version are u on? just back up flash0 then u should have no problem

how do you do that? i did not back up the flash0 before. im using 3.30 OE-A. he put the memory card and it ran all by itself. where can i get that recovery? or what you call it?

just type in recovery for 3.30oe-a then u can go back to 1.5 if needed

hi, i need urgent help. i was playing call of duty off my mem stick, and i went to scratch my head and lightly tapped the psp where the battery goes. something inside is loose, and its not working at all. please help.please.

Hi guys ...just wanted to says thanks - this forum is really cool.
I have read through the thread and just wanted to confirm a few things as i'm still really new - sorry if its silly...
I have a PSP on FW 1.5 and after reading a lot here am thinking of upgrading via wininstaller to 3.03 oe-c
Once i have done the above and downloaded an iso do i simply put it into the ISO folder ...?? then how do i start it ?
Also do i need to convert to .cso or is it ok to play iso's?

use the winstaller then run the update on ur psp in game and memory stick after yeh put ur isos in the iso folder on root of mem card and no need to convert its up 2 u hope this helps

Hi scott ...thanks for your help so far ...
i have now installed custom firmware 3.03oe-c ..then created an ISO folder on the root of the memory stick ... do i expect to see it there to play it or do i need an application like fastloader to play it?

hi again all just a question 4 u ,im on 303oe was playin with it in recovery setings put umd/iso cpu speed to 266 and i now have 4 brightness setings whys that i thort the 4th setting came in 330oe /340 oe? also can i just go straight to either 330 340 oe frm my 303oe ,do u think its worth it all i now is to play games nothin else as i dont no how to do anythin else ,how do u change xmb things ?what else can i do to it thanks 4 any help ,ady

oh, and adyau, yes u can go straight to 340oe, and u need a program that flashes ur psp like xflash but a newer one if u want to change the xmb OR you could do it straight from the flash0. ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP INCASE U SEMI BRICK UR PSP, IVE DONE THAT OVER 30 TIMES NOW, AND ALWAYS GOT IT TO WORK FROM MY BACKUP FOLDER!

you can download using a torrent client like bit torrent to download iso games. about devhook, i'm not sure. i never used it. i use a custome firmware.
