Ive only started having this problem today, DVD Shrink is taking about 2 hours to decode.
Pentium D 3ghz
1gb RAM
200gbHDD
It used to take 15 - 20 mins now all of a sudden its 2 hours?
Any ideas?

A bit more info would be handy. What DVD are you doing and what software are you using besides Shrink? When you say decode, do you mean decryption? If so with newer releases you should be using a more up to date decryption program. The DVDFab HD Decrypter (free) from DVDIdle does a good job.
Usually, if the software is okay, the first thing many of us suggest checking when a drastic slowdown occurs is the DMA drive settings. That info shows up in Nero burn logs if you're using Nero or you can check in the Device Manager.

use this guide on your DMA settings
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
try uninstalling the optical drives plus the IDE channels reboot and let the drives reinstall then see if you have the same problem.
have you tryed a clean reinstall of the dvd burning software?

Glad to see it was as simple as the usual first suggestion. Hopefully it was just an intermittent problem and it doesn't recur.
