I am using DVD Shrink with Nero and get the following error message:

Please remove your serial number from your log...it is at the top and starts with 1A20.

This is an OEM drive...you may have trouble finding an update for it, I couldn't find one.

This is Roxio's driver and is known to not play well with Nero...I suggest removal via Roxio Zap: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

While XP doesn't need ASPI to operate, if it installed and corrupt it can create erratic results when burning...I would turn the DMA on first and remove Roxio, then worry about the ASPI.
